We apologize that we CANNOT offer flu vaccines to the parents this year due to staffing shortages.

DECATUR OFFICE- we are booking nurse only visits during the weekdays only starting September 14. To schedule an appointment for Saturday morning, please call the Johns Creek or Century Center office for their clinic openings.

JOHNS CREEK OFFICE- we are booking nurse only visits during the week starting September 12 and will hold a Saturday morning flu vaccines clinic as well starting September 16.  Please call the office to schedule.

This year, the 2023-2024 influenza season, there are two types of influenza vaccines available. The first is what many people call the "flu shot". The second comes as a nasal spray and is a live vaccine.

If my child is scheduled for a well or problem oriented visit already, can s/he get the flu vaccine then? Yes, please let the nursing staff know you are interested in receiving one.

Can a sibling get one as well? Yes, but we ask for you to call ahead of time to make a nurse only visit with that same provider at same time as your other child so we can have the chart ready.

At what age can my child receive the flu vaccine? For the flu shot, your child must be 6 months of age and older. For the live nasal flu vaccine, your child must be 2 years old and with no medical conditions and has not received a live vaccine 4 weeks prior. If your child is 8 years old and younger and has not had a flu vaccine in the past, s/he will need a second flu vaccine booster at least 4 weeks apart from first vaccine. See the information sheets below for further information.

Can my child get a flu vaccine with other vaccines, especially the COVID-19 vaccine? Yes.

Will there be other dates available in the future for flu vaccine clinics? Yes, we will be scheduling as many clinics as needed to get you all vaccinated. Please check back in with us if the date you need is not available yet.
